Russia and NATO may cooperate in missile defense, U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul told the Vladivostok public on Monday.

He admitted a complex relationship of the past, but said Russia and NATO were working together now.

He said they were jointly fighting terrorism and broadening cooperation in the suppression of piracy.

McFaul thinks that NATO and Russia may cooperate in missile defense, but that is a question of the future.
