Christie's and Russian charity foundation to sell donated painting.

Christie's is helping a Russian charity by auctioning By the sea one of the works of the Russian painter Vladimir Dubossarsky. In partnership with the Gift of Life charity foundation, the sale will raise money for Russian children with cancer.

"From the bottom of my heart I admire the founders and staff of Gift of Life and 'Podari Zhizn' funds, their civil position and selfless labour. I understand how hard it is in our times, but as a result -  children's lives are saved. That's why I collaborated and am going to collaborate in the future with the foundation," said Vladimir Dubossarsky after he donated his work, lot 94, to the foundation.

All the money from the  sale will go towards buying chemotherapy medicine Erwinaza.
