Far East 2014 Investment Forum

Over the past few months Russia’s geopolitical interests have shifted toward its Far-East region. This May, a 30-year gas contract signed between China and Gazprom to the total value of $400 became the largest in the company’s history. In signing this contract, Russia has made clear its intentions to further develop its Far-East region economically as well as to reinforce its cooperation with its eastern neighbours.

In September, Euromoney Conferences will hold the Far East 2014 Investment Forum. This event is set to become the largest platform for meetings between investors from North-East Asia, Europe and the Russian Far East.

The aim of Euromoney’s investment forum is to encourage investment into Kamchatka Krai, not only through the involvement of a forum of high-ranking representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies, leading companies and international investors, but also by the implementation of ideas and capital from other parts of Russia and abroad, with the end goal of giving Kamchatka a significant place in the global market. Kamchatka Krai has a very real chance of becoming a key player among the countries of the Pacific Rim and to take a position as a leading entity in Russia’s Asia-Pacific region.

The event is free to attend and strictly by invitation only. The forum will be held in conjunction with the Government of Kamchatka Krai and is supported by the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East. The investment forum will be centred around the discussion of the priority development of the Russian Far East together with investors from Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
