The highly-acclaimed Moscow Soloists under their charasmatic artistic
director, Yuri Bashmet return to the Barbican as part of the UK-Russia Year
of Culture.
This unique concert will be performed on the world's finest instruments - by Antonio Stradivari
and other Italian masters - provided by the Russian State Collection
and the Collection of the Royal Academy of Music. The orchestra plays
an exciting Russian/British programme of works by Britten, Shostakovich
and Tchaikovsky.

Shubert Rondo for Violin & Orchestra D 438
Shostakovich Symphony for Viola and Strings (String Quartet No. 13 in B Flat Minor Op. 138 arranged by Alexander Tchaikovsky)
