Ildar Abdrazakov at Carnegie Hall

Ildar Abdrazakov Makes American Solo Recital Debut at Carnegie Hall on Jan 29.

It has just been announced that Ildar Abdrazakov – “one of the most sought-after young basses in the operatic world” (Vanity Fair) – will make his American solo recital debut on January 29, when he presents “An Evening with Ildar Abdrazakov” on the main stage of New York’s Carnegie Hall.

He will perform a solo recital of works by Fauré, Liszt, and Ravel, as well as highlights of the Russian golden opera repertoire by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, and Mussorgsky.

Mr. Abdrazakov made his La Scala debut in 2001 at age 25, and has since become a mainstay at leading houses worldwide, including New York’s Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna State Opera, and Munich’s Bavarian State Opera.

This concert is part of the annual Cherry Orchard Festival of Arts.

Following his Stern Auditorium recital, the Russian bass looks forward to making another high-profile solo appearance, in “Seduction of the Senses: A Gala Evening with Ildar Abdrazakov,” at Florida’s Palm Beach Opera on February 5.
