The drilling rigs made by Uralmash played a crucial role in the development of oil and gas deposits in the USSR. Incidentally, the super-deep drilling unit offshore the Kola Peninsula, which has penetrated to a depth of 13 kilometers (which is in the Guinness Book of World Records), was manufactured at this Urals plant.
