Rostislav Apollosovich Belyakov was born on March 4, 1919, in Murom ( distance between Moscow and Murom is 277.7 km ). After graduating in 1941 from the Moscow Aviation Institute, he was assigned to the Special Design Unit at Aviakhim Aircraft Plant № 1 under Chief Designer Artem Mikoyan.
