Peter Greenaway to open 2014 Russia-UK bilateral year

In 2014, Peter Greenaway, the British artist, director and writer, will present a giant video installation called "The Golden Age of Russian Art" in Moscow's Manege. The installation, which will be devoted to Russian avant-garde from the first three decades of the 20th century, will take up 6,000 square feet and will open the Russia–U.K. cross-cultural year.

The program of the bilateral year will also include a tour of the National Theatre of Great Britain, a Malevich exhibition organized by the Tate Gallery, and other projects brought to Russia from the United Kingdom. Russia will be represented in the U.K. by Dmitry Krymov’s laboratory, Boris Eifman’s Ballet Theatre, and the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theatres.

The end of the cross-cultural year will be marked in Great Britain by a large exhibition called "Spacemen," dedicated to Russian pioneers in space discoveries.
