Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) foreign ministers will discuss the development of cooperation with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) at an informal meeting in Kyiv, CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

"The CSTO foreign ministers will hold an informal meeting in Kyiv on December 5, which will take place on the sidelines of the OSCE ministerial meeting. CSTO Secretary-General Nikolai Bordyuzha will take part in it. He will also take part in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the OSCE member-states at the organization's invitation," Zainetdinov said.

In the view of the CSTO secretary-general, this informal meeting of the foreign ministers is viewed as quite a useful forum for exchanging opinions regarding the member-states' attitude toward developing a dialogue with the OSCE, coordinating approaches toward the development of cooperation with this organization, and adjusting optimal avenues of interaction with it, he said.

The OSCE and the CSTO have been developing quite good cooperation, Zainetdinov said. "Contacts are developing with its secretary-general, the heads of the secretariat's key divisions, and the field missions, particularly those in the Central Asian states," he said.
