Most Olympic facilities in Sochi are ready for holding the Olympics, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.

"The absolute majority of the facilities are ready in the mountain and coastal clusters - just as it should be," Medvedev said during a meeting dedicated to the readiness of Olympic facilities for the competition to be held this winter.

Many of the facilities have already completed trials and sports competitions have already been held at some of them, Medvedev said.

"The main thing is that following the Olympics the resort is comfortable, modern and so that everyone - naturally including those, who live and work here, and tourists of course, - are content," the prime minister said.

During the Olympic Games in Sochi, athletes will be accommodated in three Olympic Villages. The Coastal Cluster will house speed skaters, figure skaters, hockey players and those athletes who will be competing in the Imeretinskaya Valley. Special compounds located far away from the city, were built for those who are set to compete in the mountain region.
