Seven coalmines in Kemerovo region were disconnected from power supplies and 1,115 miners are being evacuated to the surface, the press service of the Emergency Situations' Ministry in the region reports.

The signal of power outage on the Belovo - Novo-Leninskaya power transmission line was received by the local unit of the Emergency Situations' Ministry at 10:30 a.m. from Kuzbasskoye dispatcher service.

The outage left seven coal mining facilities without power supplies which led to the stoppage of the operation of their main ventilators.

"All miners are being evacuated, a total of 1,115 people. Nobody has been injured," the report says.

The reasons for the interruption in power transmission are being checked. Power supplies along a standby line have been arranged.
