South Ossetia looking for bombers of house of top presidential aide

On Sunday morning South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov held an emergency meeting of the Security Council of the self-proclaimed republic to discuss efforts to probe the causes for an explosion in the homestead of head of the presidential administration Boris Chochiyev, presidential press secretary Gana Yanovskaya told Interfax.

"At the conference the head of state tasked law enforcers to set up a team of operatives and thoroughly investigate the incident," she said.

Yanovskaya said that there was an explosion in the yard of Chochiyev's house Sunday morning. A hand grenade is believed to have exploded. The blast did not cause any casualties or bad damage.

No other details of the incident have been disclosed.
