U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said on Twitter he is leaving Russia on Wednesday.

McFaul earlier said he will leave his post after the Sochi Olympics. He reiterated that his dismissal from the post of U.S. ambassador to Russia was caused by family circumstances and is not connected to the state of U.S.-Russian relations.
