Vietnam invests almost $1 billion in Russia in Q1 2015

Overall outbound investment from the country has touched $20 billion as of April, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Overseas Investment Agency.

Vietnam has already $968 million in Russia in the first four months of this year, the Vietnam News Agency said, citing Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Overseas Investment Agency figures.

So far this year, Vietnam has invested in 18 projects in Russia, according to the report.

These figures do not include the latest agreements signed between Vietnam and Russia. On the sidelines of Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang’s visit to Moscow for the Victory Day ceremonies, an agreement was signed to set up a Vietnamese industrial cluster in the Moscow Region.
