Vietnamese star sprinter to train in Russia

Nguyen Thi Huyen, one of the rising stars in Asian track and field won gold medals at the Asian Grand Prix and the Southeast Asian Games

Rising Vietnamese sprinting star Nguyen Thi Huyen will be trained in Russia following her recent victories, the Vietnam News Agency cited the country’s National Sports Administration as saying.

Huyen won two gold medals at the 2015 Asian Grand Prix in Thailand in June. She also won three gold medals for at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore, according to the report.

Huyen is seen as an Olympic medal prospect in the 400 metres sprint and hurdles competitions.
