Malaysia and Vietnam will participate in the inaugural Eurasian Women’s Forum, which looks at strengthening cooperation and understanding among female parliamentarians in Europe and Asia, Bernama reported on its website.
"We had extended the invitation to our ASEAN partners here and their response has been very supportive,” Russian parliamentarian Lilia Gumerova told the news agency. “We are pleased to note that Malaysia, China and Vietnam are among the countries that have expressed interest to participate in the forum.”
Gumerova told the news agency that the forum would also focus on gender equality and increase awareness of women participation in fields, including legislature, politics, business and management.
