Survey shows that the world would vote for the former secretary of state.

According to a recent WIN/Gallup International global poll, the majority of world voters would support the Democratic nominee, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, should they have the opportunity to cast a ballot in the U.S. presidential election.

An average of 59 percent of respondents expressed their willingness to vote for Clinton while the Republican nominee, billionaire Donald Trump, received the support of 25 percent of those polled. The survey was conducted in 45 countries covering nearly 75 percent of the global population.

Trump received the largest support in Russia, the U.S. and China – 33 percent, 41 percent and 44 percent of those polled, respectively. However, most Russian respondents were unable to decide which candidate to select. Fifty-seven percent of those surveyed in Russia could not just choose one and refused to answer the question. Only 10 percent of Russians said they would vote for Clinton.

The vast majority of those polled globally (69 percent) said that who was elected president of the United States would have a high impact on their countries.

The survey was conducted among more than 44,000 respondents in August and September. The results of the survey were announced by WIN/Gallup in a press release at the beginning of October.

Recent polls in the U.S. have Clinton leading Trump by between 1 and 12 percentage points with an overall average of 6 points. The final debate between the two candidates will take place on Oct. 19.
