RIR met with American sociologist and political scientist Jack Goldstone, who came to Moscow to set up the Research Laboratory in Political Demography and Social Macro-dynamics in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences. The new research centre will provide advice on how to cope with global changes, both in population and economic trajectories.
Jack Goldstone, who is best known for his studies of social movements and revolutions, shared his opinion on the current situation in Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey. He also made predictions about potential hotbeds for future mass protests.
