The Mariinsky Theater diva’s album ‘Verismo’ includes arias from various operas

Opera diva and Mariinsky Theater star Anna Netrebko has been nominated for the Grammy Musical Award in the Best Classical Solo Vocal Album Category for her album Verismo.

The album includes arias from various operas, including Adriana Lecouvreur, Madame Butterfly, Tosca and Manon Lescaut.

Netrebko recorded the album with the Symphonic Orchestra of the St. Cecilia National Academy in Rome, which was conducted by Antonio Pappano, a British conductor of Italian origin.

The award ceremony will take place on Feb. 2, 2017 in Los Angeles.
