Unique murals from the Ferapontov monastery in the Vologda region (about 600 km north of Moscow) will soon be on display to the public - in digital form.
The Peri Charitable Foundation has digitized Dionisy’s frescoes, which date back to the 16th century. Researchers have compared the frescoes to works by Michelangelo, and they will be available in high resolution on the project’s website.
