Khadzhokhkoye Canyon, Kamennomostsky village, Adygea
Legion MediaAdygea is one of the smallest regions in Russia, both in terms of area and the number of inhabitants (460 thousand people). It only has two cities: Maykop (the capital), with a population of 145 thousand people, and Adygeisk, whose population is ten times smaller. There are two official languages, Russian and Adygeyan, but Circassians, Kurds, Greeks and people of many other ethnicities also live there. The republic is known for its colorful and unique villages, which are surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains.
But, at the same time, Adygea is a very attractive region for tourism. Fans of water sports can enjoy rafting on the White River. Gourmets can try the famous Adygean cheese, which can be smoked, fried or baked. And romantics can watch epic sunsets on the legendary Lago-Naki plateau.
