Tula Region

Gingerbread, samovars, weapons, Belev pastila - Tula Region has been famous for all these things since ancient times. It is also famous for ‘The Steel Flea’ by Leskov. Leo Tolstoy was born and lived most of his life at the Yasnaya Polyana estate in Tula.

Tula itself has improved a lot in recent years. The embankment of the Upa River near the local Kremlin was refurbished, a cozy pedestrian street Metallistov was built, and, most importantly, a lot of new restaurants were opened.
