Kalashnikov launches website with detailed stories on rifles and weaponry.

Due to sanctions and the difficulty foreign correspondents and bloggers face in getting a close look at Russian weapons, web developers have designed new media platforms to publicise Russian weaponry.

The first company to create such a site is Kalashnikov Concern with its Kalashnikov.Media project.

Kalashnikov CEO Alexei Krivoruchko says its new site will present all latest innovations (AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles, RPK-16 light machine gun, VSV sniper rifle and etc.) not only through news articles, but also via video blogs and combat testing that are not otherwise available on the internet.

Besides that, the company says it will offer full tactical lifestyle content with various stories about firearms, shooting lessons, and content from arms experts’ blogs.

Private media projects are increasingly being used by businesses to directly promote services to potential customers around the world. Apart from Kalashnikov, even Airbnb and Uber have established print puiblications in addition to mobile apps and online media projects for promotional purposes.
