Russian American Cultural Center in collaboration with the Russian and Slavic Studies Program of Hunter College, CUNY presents 2016 Art Film Festival.
2016 Art Film Festival will be held in New York at Ida K. Lang Recital Hall at Hunter College on March 5, 2016.
Art Film Festival will include 7 films of American, Israeli, Austrian and Russian filmmakers.
Israeli visual artist Tamar Latzman will present two works “Habitat” and “My Soul Cleaveth Unto Thee” about exploration of Jewish character in the world. There are also special presentation of art documentaries by American director Helga Landauer: “A Journey of Dmitry Shostakovich”, “Anna Akhmatova” and “Arcadia” about the great Russian Poet Vladimir Gandelsman. Austrian video artist Lena Lapshina will introduce visual entertainment content that promises to be the future with series of extra-short films “17 seconds of art”. The last event of the Festival will be New York premiere of Russian feature film “Chagall-Malevich” by Aleksandr Mitta.
