Last weekend, Moscow hosted the 2nd annual Polytech Festival of Science and Curiosity. Polytech is a family festival that aims to make science fun.
This year the event featured scientists, artists and pop science experts from Russia, the US, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Poland and France. One of the brightest attractions of the two-day fest was Water Light Graffiti by Antonin Fourneau.
Guests armed with water pistols and wet sponges tried their hand at being an artist, painting on an LED screen. As water hits the screen, it closes tiny electrical circuits and fires up a plethora of LED lights.
“Three years ago, while living in China, I saw a man drawing on the ground with water from a bottle, practicing his calligraphy. The idea just popped into my head,” says Antonin.
