"Hey Jude" covered by floating orchestra

Last weekend, a small town near St. Petersburg hosted the 6th Night of Music Festival

The Night of Music Festival is an annual classical music concert held in Gatchina, a small town located 30 miles south-west of St. Petersburg.  The stage is set on the surface of Lake Beloye (literally “White lake”) against the backdrop of the 18th century Gatchina Palace. The mix of chamber music, superb architecture and stunning natural beauty provide visitors with an exquisite experience.

The five-hour-long festival was indeed a treat for classical music admirers. The concert program included works by Petr Tchaikovsky, Alexander Borodin, Edvard Grieg and many others, and culminated with several pieces in the “crossover genre,” which represents a symphonic interpretation of pop and rock music.
