Olga Sviblova is awarded the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage award

The Director of the Multimedia Art Museum (MAMM) Olga Sviblova received the International Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award in 2013, which is awarded to artists and art workers around the world.

According to the RIA Novosti press-service reports, the award winner receives 15,000 euros ($20,250) which can be used to finance a project of their choice.

The solemn award presentation ceremony will be held on Monday at the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow.

Under the regulations, the award is presented in 12 countries for an artist’s personal contribution in cultural development. First, three nominees are selected, and then an international jury determines the winners. At various times, its members were artist Tracey Emin, opera singer Placido Domingo, novelist and playwright Mario Vargas Llosa, designer Phoebe Philo and actress Catherine Deneuve.

Olga Sviblova, holder of the Order of the Legion of Honour and Commander of the Order "For Merit of the Italian Republic” has joined the company of winners, among whom were the artist Yoko Ono, the founder of the Houston Museum Dominique de Menil and conductor Simon Rattle.
