The nominees for 'Startup of the Year 2013' awards have been announced

In the Central House of the Entrepreneur, on December 16^th, the award ceremony will be held, at which the names of the winners of the Startup of the Year 2013 will be announced. They will get all the attention of the press, the jury, investors and potential customers, with special prizes from sponsors and partners, as well as the coveted Golden Apple - the symbol of the Awards. However, the finalists have now been announced. On November 20th the list of nominees for all categories was announced.    

Nominees for the 'Startup of the Year 2013' awards:

Best technological startup – a startup that has built a business based on the most promising technology.

·         Eltechs - cross-architectural virtualisation, which eliminates incompatibilities with the new ARM servers and the existing software.

·         RoboCV - the developer of intellectual autopilot systems that control vehicles instead of a human driver.

·         Forecast NOW! - intellectual system for forecasting demand and inventory optimization for small and medium businesses.

Breakthrough of the Year/ Quick Start – a company, set up in 2012, showing the most rapid growth.

·         Отследить-посылку.рф - SMS and e-mail system for tracking Russian Post parcels and EMS for online stores.

·         iBinom -  cloud service for the medical interpretation of genetic data.

·         ApiShops - dropshipping platform - merchandise partnership program, services for e-commerce.

Best Internet startup – company, whose business processes fully take place on the Internet.

·         Agora - multi-channel commerce platform providing cloud services for the sales / procurement of goods in a variety of sales channels.

·         Miiix - platform for interaction between stores and wholesale suppliers.

·         БУБУКА (BUBUKA) - cloud system for the sound design of retail and catering enterprises.

Socially significant startup – a company, whose business seeks to solve social problems. 

·         Mamas' Place  - Edutaiment — a space for moms with babies in the city. A place where moms can socialise, learn, attend concerts and lectures, along with the child.         

Tom-PET - collection and recycling of used raw materials in the Tomsk region.

·         СТАЛО МАЛО (STALO MALO) - network of children's commission shops where you can sell \ buy children's clothes at great prices.

Global start up – project, working in markets outside of Russia.

·         SkyDNS - Cloud service of content filtering and protection against online threats

·         Sputnik8.com - international platform for searching, booking and organising tours by individual guides.

·         NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR MOBILE ROBOTS - development and marketing of software designed for navigating mobile robots indoors.

The 'Startup of the Year 2013' awards is one of the main events in the world of innovative technology, it is an annual event in which the best companies and teams are encouraged in several categories. This is another chance to show oneself in the best light in front of the business community, to enlist the support of experts and investors and to take home the symbol of the "Startup of the Year" Awards — the golden apple.

This year, the format of the event has changed a bit outwardly, but the level of projects competing for the honour to win the Award will remain unchanged. The traditionally high level of organisation will be provided by a team from the Business Incubator Higher School of Economics, with the support of the RVC and Moscow Seed Fund.

This year the composition of nominations has changed. Pay attention to the fact that Internet projects are now in a separate category.

This year's awards will be awarded in several categories.
