Sagama Vietnam, a joint venture between Vietnam’s Long Long Chemical Co., Ltd. and Sagama, a Russian company from Tolyatti, launched its first tire recycling production line on March 29 in Vinh Phuc Province.

The plant is converting tires into rubber flooring for gymnasiums and sporting facilities. The technology is said to be eco-friendly.

According to the Russian Trade mission in Vietnam, only 10 percent of waste rubber products in Vietnam are recycled.

The company plans to open a second manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2016.
